The black cats
gathered one
Halloween night.
And their singing
was exquisitely loud!
Like a rusted
old buzz saw or a
warped violin, it was
a noise that should
not be allowed!
But they kept
on howling as the
night went on, it
was a gloriously
irritating sound.
An adagio for yowling
punctuated with a
hiss. A noise that
no one wants to
be around!
With their heads
thrown back and black
skinny tails curled,
they howled at the
bright autumn moon.
A chorus of noises!
A collection of meows!!
A feline symphony that
was way out of tune!
So proud were these
cats on this Halloween
night as they sat on the
rooftop to scream.
To them it was beautiful!
An amazing quartet!
They didn't think
that it sounded
obscene.
So raise your
cat voices on
Halloween night.
Let your beautiful
howling fill the air!
Sing to let your
spirits take flight.
Learn to sing
as if there's
nobody there!!
The End
