Haiku Collection One

Haiku Collection One
(Lake)

Hear the morning song.

The distant loon voices rise.

Ancient serenade.

Golden dawns of light.

Reveal magic atmospheres.

Renewed in spirit.

Mist shrouds the water.

Morning's aquatic perfume.

It smells of wetness.

Old boats docked near shore.

Remnants of lost afternoons.

Grandpa lights his pipe.

Sunshine on water.

Reflecting against old eyes.

Tears upon my face.

Hear the gentle waves.

Close your eyes to remember.

You were once a child

Sand castle making.

Muddled water fills the moat.

A refuge for toads.

I wish I could swim.

Slicing swiftly through water.

Or float like a bug.
